Welcome from the Mens' Captain
Our golf course is improving every year. I always ask the opinions of visitors for their views on Bletchingley and I am delighted that their comments have been universally positive. So congratulations to our club professional Steven Cookson and his team for their good work. Steven, in particular, has been working hard to promote and improve BGC and it is clear that his efforts are starting to have a real impact.
I am also happy to say that we will be seeing improvements to the non-golfing side of the club, with a renewed focus on members’ needs in the Clubhouse.
We now have a much larger membership and it is good to see so many new faces around the course. A particular welcome to all our new members. You will find Bletchingley a friendly and unstuffy club, and I encourage all of you to participate in our competitions and fun golf events.
Don’t forget, we also have a good and varied social agenda and I hope to welcome many of you to the various events we will be running through the year.
Our Lady Captain, Marilyn Luson, and I have decided to share the same charity this year, Help for Heroes, with which I am sure many of you are familiar. It is a very worthy cause and Marilyn expands a little more on this in her introduction.
