Bletchingley Golf Club's Seniors' Section has developed into one of the most active and successful of its kind in the area since its launch on 12th January 1994 when there were 24 in attendance at the Inaugural Meeting, 9 of which are still playing.
Membership is open to all male golfers over the age of 55 in playing and non-playing categories. Non-players are able to participate in a wide variety of social and other non-golfing events in accordance with the BGC Constitution.
The focal point of the week for the Section is Tuesday morning when the course is reserved for seniors for stableford and medal events as well as inter-club and 'fun' matches. Typically around 60 take part in a structured pre-booked tee time set-up with players split into three sections, Gold, Silver and Bronze, on a handicap and competitive basis. However, the spirit of the Section is more fully reflected in the relaxed atmosphere of the Clubhouse where an extensive menu, friendly bar and convivial company provide the ideal environment for reliving golfing triumphs and forgetting the mishaps.
There is no shortage of golfing or social opportunities on and off the course but events are carefully arranged and balanced to avoid overkill. They range from an annual Invitation Day to Sample Tuesday, organised Away Days and Inter-Club Matches. In more detail they are:

Inter-Club Matches - An expanding fixture list has resulted in the section currently playing 11 matches home and away against other leading clubs in the area. |
| v |
Invitation Day - Once a year seniors are able to invite a non-member for a round on a designated day. |
| v |
Sample Tuesday - This is another opportunity for members to invite non-members along to take part in a Tuesday morning event to familiarise themselves with the course and sample seniors' hospitality. |
| v |
Away Days - Individual members use their initiative to organise golfing trips at home and abroad. Recent overseas trips have included visits to courses in Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia and France while the West Country is a popular location for domestic touring. |
| v |
Internal - Competitive matches against the Ladies and Junior Sections and the under-60 club members are an important part of the Bletchingley calendar, providing the opportunity for the Sections to meet on and off the course. |

Last but not least the seniors make the most of the festive season with a Christmas Lunch and Christmas Dinner where partners take pride of place. |
